We’re invited by the French OGA to join them in St Malo, 6-8 June, 2025! Everyone will be welcome whether you sail across in your own boat, trail a boat across on the ferry or just go on foot to enjoy the party. Berthing, parking for both towing vehicle (car or campervan) and trailer with boat has been arranged free of charge. Spain, the Netherlands and Italy will be represented so we need the UK and Ireland too. Expect racing in the bay, heritage exhibits, parades of sail, dinghy sailing, ‘rubber flubber’ fun, skulling , shanties, folk bands, dancing and more!

A few East Coast Boats are heading to the Solent to take part. There will be no official organisation of the passage to the South Coast but those taking part in these ‘Concurrent Passages’ may like to keep in touch and share plans and stopovers. Ed Roberts has offered to be a ‘point of contact’ and we have set up a WhatsApp Group on which interested parties can exchange ideas and experiences.
There is a sail in company from Yarmouth, Isle of Wight with the Solent Gaffers. Some French boats intend to come out to join us halfway to sail in company via the Iles Chausey. Hopefully, more Gaffers will join from the South West and other OGA Areas. The event will be a great opportunity for trailing a smaller boat across with the Portsmouth – St. Malo ferry being the obvious route from England.
Make sure the French OGA know you are intending to join in: complete their registration form.
