It will be the tenth anniversary of the last time Gaffers sailed in company to join the French OGA: Yarmouth to St Malo, August 2015, followed by their cruise to Brest and Douarnenez in 2016. Visit ‘Sailing by’ to find reports from these events.
We’re hoping there will be a flotilla sailing in company from the East Coast!
There are plans for a sail in company from Yarmouth, Isle of Wight with the Solent Gaffers, some French boats intend to come out to join us halfway to sail in company via the Iles Chausey. Hopefully, more Gaffers will join from the South West and other OGA Areas. The event will be a great opportunity for trailing a smaller boat across with the Portsmouth – St. Malo ferry being the obvious route from England.
